My favorite singer/songwriter, Joe Dolman, released his highly anticipated new single today. Entitled “Something Beautiful,” the track is exactly what the title suggests. This song has a bit more of a pop feel to it than his earlier work, but still has that familiar acoustic sound I’ve come to love. I’ve always admired Joe’s lyrical work, and this track is no exception. He’s captured a feeling that I’m sure many can relate to, including myself. His melodic vocals are flawless as always. All in all, this single is nothing short of amazing.

The single comes complete with a b-side, “I Think It’s Strange (Acoustic).” This song is classic Joe, nothing but his voice, an acoustic guitar and subtle hints of keys. This beautiful ballad really lets Joe’s vocals shine, raw and full of emotion. I’ll admit it gives me chills.
In short, I am forever blown away by Joe’s talent. Both of these tracks are absolutely stunning. Give them a listen below!
Joe will be embarking on a UK tour starting on November 1st! Trust me, his live gigs are not to be missed (if you’re not stuck in America like me). Check out the dates below.

Back in March, Ulysses Wells made their explosive entrance into the music world with “Taste It.” Today, they released their follow-up single, “What It Takes,” and it does not disappoint.
This track is full of raw emotion, embodied by the grunge sound Ulysses Wells have made their own. You can practically feel the intensity radiating from the passionate vocals, perfectly paired with dynamic guitar.
In short, Ulysses Wells remain a beacon of hope for rock music in an increasingly Top 40 world, refusing to conform with society’s standards of “popular music.” To me, this only makes them stand out above the pack. Keep your eyes on them because they are definitely headed for big things.

Leading up to the release of the new Coasts single, “Let Me Love You,” they released a video showcasing the song. This new single promised to be a sound we don’t usually hear from them. And the directional change paid off. At midnight EST in the US I downloaded the new song and have not stopped playing it since. Chris Caines’ vocals come through as honest and sincere in a song begging the question so many want answered, “Why can’t you let me love you?” The song starts as a beautiful melody then blends perfectly as the rhythm ensues to an upbeat sway. If you have no love in your life this song will make you believe that it is possible. If you just believe. For me, that’s enough. Watch the video here.
You’ll too hear the promise and believe as I do. Well done, guys.
